The league offers opportunities to players in the Cal Ripken Division (ages 5 through 12), Babe Ruth Division (ages 13 through 15), and the Senior Babe Ruth Division (ages 16 to 18). We are a volunteer organization, and we welcome the participation of the families of our players.

Registration is now open for the Clifton Park Baseball 2010 Spring Recreation season.   Please follow this link www.sportssignup.com/cpbl and register now!  On-line registrations may be paid via credit card.  Please choose uniform sizes carefully.  Registration will be officially closed on Monday, February 15th.   After that date, players will be put on a waiting list and a late registration fee will be charged. Assure your child's spot on a team by registering today!

Winter Workouts Based on the success of last year’s winter workout program, we are excited to be offering the program again this winter to ALL PLAYERS in the league that are interested in a weekly program geared towards preparing them for the upcoming season.  Winter Workout Information is now posted on the League Newsletter Tab to the left or register today and respond as soon as possible so we can book enough space to accommodate everyone.

Babe Ruth Majors Tryouts

Clifton Park Baseball will hold tryouts for the 13-15 year old Babe Ruth Majors Division on Monday March 8th and Saturday March 13th at the All Star Academy in Latham.  Any player who played in the Babe Ruth Majors division last year does not need to try out again.

Players interested in trying out should attend one of the following sessions:

players with last names A-K            Monday March 8th   8:00 pm  - 9:30 pm

players with last names L-Z             Saturday March 13th  8:30 am - 10:00 am

The cost of the tryout is $5 payable on the day of the tryout.

13 Year Old Babe Ruth Spring Travel Tryouts

Clifton Park Baseball will hold tryouts for the 13 year old Babe Ruth Spring Travel Teams on Saturday March 27th at the All Star Academy in Latham from 7 pm- 9pm. The cost of the tryout is $5 payable on the day of the tryout.

Majors Division Tryouts

Clifton Park Baseball will hold a tryout for the 11-12 year old Majors Division on Sunday March 7th at the All Star Academy in Latham. Players interested in trying out should attend one of the following sessions: 

11-year old players with last names A-K         1 :30  pm - 2:45 pm

11-year old players with last names L-Z           2:45  pm - 4:00 pm

12-year old players                                        4:00  pm - 5:30 pm

 The 11-12 division places some players in a more competitive "Majors" division, while the other players play in a "AAA" division. The 11-year-olds play with 12-year-olds in both divisions. A player who played in the Majors division as an 11 year old does not need to try out.  In addition, any player who was selected to the 12 year old A or B 2009 Spring Travel teams does not have to try out.   All 11 year olds interested in playing in the Majors must tryout. Any player who wishes to play AAA (a little less competitive than Majors), does not need to tryout.  All players will be placed on a team. 

The cost of the tryout is $5 payable on the day of the tryout.

Connie Mack/Mickey Mantle Tryouts:  
The times for the Connie Mack and Mickey Mantle tryouts have been
changed.  Instead of having separate tryouts for each team, there will
be one tryout for both teams.  To avoid time delays, we have divided the
tryouts by last names.  Please see below for more details.

There will be an information and registration meeting for the Connie
Mack and Mickey Mantle teams on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 7:00 PM at
the Senior Center which is located on Clifton Commons and all players
and parents are encouraged to attend.

There will be a mandatory tryout for the Connie Mack and Mickey Mantle
teams at the All Stars Academy which is located on Route 7 in Latham.
Players with a last name beginning with the letters A through K will
tryout on Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM  and players
with a last name beginning with the letters L through Z will tryout on
Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM.  There will be a
$5.00 registration fee.  Players who are interested must contact John
Novenche at jmjnov@aol.com prior to the tryouts.

Coaches for the teams are as follows:
Connie Mack -            Matt Schafer and Steve Bronder
Mickey Mantle -          Mickey Mantle -- Pat Bronder and Jason Downey

Coaches Clinic CPBL is joining together with Hayner's Sports Barn to off a Catching Clinic free to all CPBL coaches.  The clinic will focus on all aspects of the Catching position.  Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.  All Coaches and Assistant coaches are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Clifton Park Mudhens, a 22 and under team, will be competing in its 2nd season in the summer of 2010 with the Eastern New York Travel League.  Looking to build on its success with the 2009 season, the team is looking for dedicated players between the ages of 19 and 22 (born between May 1, 1987 and April 30, 1991) to fill its roster.   Dave Alexander, George Smith, and Ryan Hazlett will be coaching the Mudhens in 2010.  Interested players should contact Dave Alexander at dalexander@airresourcesgroup.com.
